Virgo
When the Sun returns to Virgo on 23rd August, this is the point in each year when your birthday month and new solar year will always kick off. Yet even before the Sun returned to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart last month to begin the month long wind down of your old solar year, new doors were already open thanks to Mars' return in June. This was something that held back by a retrograde phase was six months overdue and having had to spend five of the previous seven months in a nostalgic part of your chart, the warrior planet of the cosmos was tired of cooling his heels and was ready to fire things up.
This brought you to the start of a new two year Mars cycle and until leaving on 7th August, he will be looking for something to channel his passions, drive, warrior and competitive spirit into. It is in the gap between Mars' departure and the Sun's return on 23rd August that there will be a chance to focus a little more on the job of bringing your old solar year home. Meanwhile, Mars' return to your income sector on 7th August will not only kick off the most lucrative months of 2025, but with game changing implications across the income, work and career fronts.
This is something that will be felt almost immediately when Mars, who will return to your income sector every two years, for the first time in our lifetime will return to find Pluto in your work sector and Uranus, who is settling into his first full month in your career sector in eight decades. Within 48 hours Mars will have moved into a friendly aspect to both, just as they are already coming together. There will be a rare triple alignment of three very powerful planets when the Moon not only returns to your career sector from 8th August to 10th August, but as a Full Moon that will throw fuel on a scene suddenly ripe with potential across the income, work and career fronts.
Virgo
While this is a fairly quiet or business as usual month on the romantic and relationship fronts, this should be a good month for both. While there is no planetary activity in your romantic sector and won't be until later in the year, as Pluto's 16 year visit only ended in November 2024, you no longer need the love gods holding your hand. You know what you want from love and what your own heart is telling you, with the confidence to follow it. However, the Moon's monthly visits will help to keep the spirit of romance alive, which it will do when it makes this month's visit from 6th August to 8th August.
Meanwhile, while there is no planetary activity in your relationship sector either, you not only have the North Node here but its partner the South Node in Virgo. The lunar nodes aren't physical objects and instead, as the points where the Earth's orbit around the Sun is intersected by the Moon's orbit around the Earth and as they are always in opposition, they create a gravitational pull while keeping things in balance. In this case, until they leave in July 2026, the lunar nodes are working to maintain the right balance between your own and your relationship needs. It is in the gap between Mars' departure from Virgo on 7th August and the Sun's return on 23rd August that this will become a lot easier.
What you do have this month is a lot of support from the communication gods and Venus, the planet of love spending the majority of the month in a social and serendipitous part of your chart. While they won't move into an exact friendly aspect until 17th August, until she leaves on 26th August, Venus will not only be working in harmony with the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships in your communication sector, but with the North Node in your relationship sector. While having Venus here is increasing the potential for serendipitous moments and/or encounters, especially when she aligns with Jupiter on 11th/12th August. This is when the element of luck and the laws of attraction and synchronicity will be most potent.
