The word that springs to mind to describe this month is balance. It was late last month that Mercury returned for what is normally a 14 to 15 day visit to your career sector, with a chance to work smarter, get your head in the game, think on your feet and the communication lines open ahead of the Sun's return on 23rd July. Mercury should be long gone by then but instead, a retrograde turn on 18th July will not only keep him here all month but closely aligned with five planets in your work sector, four of which will also turn retrograde this month. By the time you move into the new month Mercury has already formed a friendly aspect to Saturn and Neptune, who will be the first to turn retrograde. It begins with Neptune's retrograde turn on 5th July and continues with Saturn's retrograde turn on 13th July, Eris on 22nd July and Chiron on 31st July. By the end of the month, the Sun will be in your career sector and five of the six planets in your two professional houses will be in retrograde motion, working as a team to exploit the past, second chances and untapped job and professional potential. However, helping to keep things balanced and helping to ensure that life doesn't become all work and no play, is not just having the Sun in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery until 23rd July, but Jupiter in the first full month of what will be a 12 month visit. Meanwhile, there is change in the air on the relationship and financial fronts, with Venus and Uranus shifting their focus from one to the other within the space of just 48 hours. It begins on 5th July, when Venus leaves your relationship sector and returns to your financial sector, swapping out her planet of love for her planet of money hat. Venus will leave you with a better sense of what you want from your relationships, while until leaving your financial sector on 31st July, will spend less than four weeks fuelling your financial confidence, updating your financial desires and expectations and on working to turn those desires into reality. Uranus, on the other hand, returns to begin a journey that won't end until 2033 and with it a chance to update your whole relationship with money.

While Venus, the planet of love's departure from your relationship sector on 5th July is later in the year than is normally the case, her return and departure each year is an ordinary event. Held back by a retrograde phase and having returned after the Sun had moved through, this gave Venus a chance to build on from the relationship housekeeping that takes place when the solar spotlight is on your relationships. In her final days, Venus will always be working to give your heart a voice and a say in what you want from your relationships. This year, with the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships in Scorpio, a balance between your own and your relationship needs has been even more important. Meanwhile, a given is that when Venus or any other planet over the last six years leaves your relationship sector, Uranus will be there to keep the momentum and the focus on your relationships going.
