It is during the first week of the month and then again towards the end of the month that there will need to be some guardrails in place when it comes to a balance between work and play. This makes this a time of year when the focus is always going to be on the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence. Even more so this year, for while the dwarf planet Eris, the warrior planet of the cosmos has been in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart over nine decades, you move into the new month with five planets there. At the start of the month, four of those planets are in retrograde motion, with the fifth turning retrograde on 12th August, the day after Mercury turns direct in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery. The focus is not only on the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence, but with the doors open to the past and second chances. However, you also begin the month with Mars in your career sector and until leaving 7th August, he will be fighting to not only keep your professional hat on but will be looking for something to channel his warrior and competitive spirit into. Mars' departure will leave your career sector empty, until the Sun returns on 23rd August and shifts the solar spotlight onto that side of life's fence. However, this won't take away from what is happening on the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence, making those guardrails more important than ever. Meanwhile, until she returns to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery on 26th August, Venus is not only spending the majority of the month in your financial sector, but where alongside Jupiter this has brought the planets of money and luck together here for the first time in over a decade.

No wonder then that a retrograde turn on 12th August will keep Ceres here until March 2026. By the time the Moon moves through your romantic sector from 12th August to 14th August, all five planets will be in retrograde motion, with the doors open to the past and second chances. Meanwhile, while Venus left your relationship sector on 31st July, she has left your relationships in the safe hands of Uranus, the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected, who returned last month for the first time in 77 years. Along with Pluto, who is in your communication sector now until 2044, with Neptune not eventually leaving your romantic sector until 2039 and Uranus at the start of an eight year transit through your relationship sector, the love, communication and relationship gods all have major outer planets, planets that are here for years rather than weeks or months.
