On the one hand, May is a month of major change, while on the other hand, it is a month of transition or waiting. You can sense that the dynamics of the year so far are changing and you can sense even bigger changes ahead, but they are yet to settle into their new pattern. On several fronts, those changes are already underway and especially when it comes to a major shift from the adventurous to the professional side of life's fence. However, the biggest shift and the one with the more personal impact is entering a state of limbo or of waiting, like a caterpillar in its cocoon, waiting to emerge as a butterfly, as one 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion draws to a close and the next is about to begin. Jupiter won't return to Cancer until 10th June to begin a year of major new beginnings, but as Mars' longest visit in two decades only ended last month, this has left you with time to ponder the things you are passionate about and what you might want this new chapter to hold. Meanwhile, while it is a given that the Sun, Venus and Mercury will move through your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery and then return to your career sector each year, the long term planets in those areas haven't changed, until now. It was at the end of March that, in an adventurous part of your chart since 2012, Neptune, the planet of hopes and dreams left and returned to your career sector for the first time in 150 years. As you move into the new month, while Venus will make that shift on 1st May, Saturn will remain steadfast, as he has been since returning to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery in March 2023. However, on 25th March, he too will leave, leaving this adventurous part of your chart empty for the first time since 2010 while joining the growing groundswell of planets in your career sector. This comes as the dynamics of the year itself are shifting, with Pluto turning retrograde in your financial sector on 5th May and taking money matters into review mode, just as in his first full month in your income sector, Mars is firing up the income side of the financial fence.

Since Pluto's return to your relationship sector in 2008, for the last 16 years, there has been nearly always planetary activity on the relationship front, while there is rarely any planetary activity in your romantic sector at this time of year. This year this has flipped around and your relationship sector is empty and has been since the last planet left in January and the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment is not only in your romantic sector but will be for the next six months. Pluto is gone from your relationship sector and he is not coming back or at least not in our lifetime, with nearly two decades of focus on your relationships over. However, with a clear sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you banked. When Juno returned to your romantic sector in October, Pluto was still in your relationship sector and a parade of planets didn't finish moving through until February, something that the spirit of romance had to compete with. Meanwhile, while there is no more planetary activity on the relationship front until later in the year, the Moon's return from 16th May to 18th May will be a valuable chance to check in and become more emotionally engaged and aware. This will see the Moon form a friendly aspect to the South Node in your communication sector as it moves through, which for the next 14 months is helping to keep the communication lines open.
