This is a time of year when, to some degree, you are used to a need for a balance between work and play. However, not to the degree that this month will require, those with a swapping out of resources that might make this easier than it should be. Planets that were in your busy work sector are now back in a playful and creative part of your chart and planets that were there are now in your work sector, but with some swapping back and forward still to come. Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of April in your work sector, the solar spotlight is always on your work situation, job matters and options at this time of year. While Venus and Mercury travel close to the Sun and will often be here at the same time, it is not unusual to find one or both still in a playful and creative part of your chart, where the Sun had left on the March equinox. However, what is the norm is that while Venus and Mercury were both in your work sector when the Sun returned and this has given you a head start, they have since retrograded back out and back into a playful and creative part of your chart. Mercury will turn direct on 7th April and will leave and rejoin the Sun on 16th April, but while turning direct on 13th April, Venus will stay back in a playful and creative part of your chart for the whole of April. It was in the closing hours of March that after 13 years, Neptune left a playful and creative part of your chart and for the first time in 150 years returned to your work sector, where apart from a few months later in the year, he will remain until 2039. Mercury and Venus are going backward and forward between the two, helping you transition from one major chapter to the next. This will continue even when the Sun leaves and returns to your relationship sector on 20th April. Helping with that transition is Mars, who will finally end his extended visit to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery on 18th April and return to your career sector.

There is change in the air on both the romantic and relationship fronts and in both cases, with an element of the unexpected though in one case, not for the usual reasons. With Uranus, the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected in your relationship sector, you can always expect the unexpected and especially from when the Sun returns on 20th April. This is the point in each year when the solar spotlight not only shifts onto your relationships but since his return in 2019, onto Uranus' influence. With Uranus leaving in July and the Sun kicking off the most active months of 2025 on the relationship front, his influence could be a lot stronger this year. Helping to put the focus on your relationships before the Sun even returns will be starting the month with the Moon in your relationship sector, with a chance to ensure you are emotionally engaged and aware from the start. By the time the Moon comes full circle on 27th April the Sun will be here, with their alignment creating a New Moon on 28th April. Meanwhile, there are unexpected developments on the romantic front that are far from the norm, with planets that had already left back and Neptune, who has been here since 2012 gone. In both cases, as this all happened in the final four days of March, this is something you are still getting a feel for. It began on 27th March, when nearly two months after leaving Venus, the planet of love retrograded back into your romantic sector for a rare do over. It was three days later that Mercury did the same and this time, less than 12 hours before after 13 years Neptune, the planet of hopes and dreams left your romantic sector. Neptune will dip back in for a few months later in the year but will be gone again before the Sun or any of the faster planets return next year. Mercury will remain in retrograde motion until 7th April and Venus until 13th April, holding the doors open to the past and second chances. Mercury will leave again on 16th April but Venus is here for the rest of the month, holding onto the spirit of romance and especially when the Moon moves through from 23rd April to 25th April.
